Official Development Assistance in the Western Balkans: A Way Forward

In our comparative analysis, titled “Official Development Assistance in the Western Balkans, 1990-2022: A Study of the Levels, Sources and Aims of ODA in the Western Balkans” we have explored development assistance progress towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo and Turkey.

Our analysis has shown that the majority of ODA in these countries comes from the European Union and its member states.

This document represents a summary of conclusions and recommendations from the analysis.

This publication was created as part of the project “Official Development Assistance in the Western Balkans and Turkey- a trends analysis through the prism of civil society” funded by the City of Zagreb. The sole responsibility for its content lies with the author.
