Association Earthlings – Are you Syrious?

Are You Syrious is a volunteer based organization that has been supporting refugees since 2015 through field assistance at the international level and a number of integration activities in Croatia. In addition, AYS monitors, evaluates and systematically reports on human rights violations of refugees, and serves as a daily migration news service for professionals, volunteers and the interested public.

Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb

Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb (Autonomona ženska kuća Zagreb) is a non-governmental feminist organization founded in 1990 with the mission of giving help and support to women who have survived violence by ensuring a safe place in the shelter, giving free legal and psychological help, and empowering female pozition in the society with public actions and influencing on the legal frame.

Center for Women’s Studies

The mission of the Center for Women’s Studies is to provide education in themes related to women and feminism, act to raise awareness of women in Croatia and to encourage research and publishing topics related to women’s studies.

Centre for peace studies

CMS is an association of citizens who advocate social change through following the principles of non-violence, peace building and human rights; and linking education, research, activism and policy work.

Clubture

Clubture gathers independent cultural organizations in Croatia, with the objectives of encouraging cooperation between organizations, empowering their capacities and increasing public visibility and influence of the independent cultural scene in the definition of cultural policies in Croatia and the region of Southeast Europe.

Croatian youth network

The Croatian Youth Network is an alliance of 69 NGOs  for young people in Croatia, which acts as a national umbrella organization for youth (Eng. National Youth Council) and is a member of the European Youth Forum.

DEŠA Dubrovnik – Humanitarian and peace organization

Through DEŠA’s work, they contribute to the quality of life in the community, initiating positive changes through programs designed in response to community needs, based on the recognition and preservation of the original natural and cultural values, capacity building of various stakeholders, greater inclusion of vulnerable groups in sustainable community development, initiation of new (innovative) economic activity, employment promotion and advocacy of civic responsibility and gender equality.

Documenta -Center for dealing with the past

Documenta contributes to the development of individual and social processes of dealing with the past in building sustainable peace in Croatia and the region, deepening dialogue and initiating public debate on public policies that encourage coping with the past, collecting data, published research on the war, war crimes and human rights violations, and following judicial processes at local and regional level as a contribution to the improvement of judicial standards and practices in the war crimes trials.

Domine – Split

Domine are a feminist, non-governmental, non-profit and non-partisan organization, founded in 2002, with the aim of promoting women’s rights and developing civil society.

Forum for freedom of education

Forum for Freedom of Education through its activities and actions contributes to the realization of a society based on the values of justice, critical thinking, social sensitivity, self-awareness, tolerance and dialogue. Forum carried out a large number of international and local projects through which it provided quality educational programs and contemporary art for children and youth, including the areas of civic and health education, communication and mediation, methodology of teaching, education for sustainable development, and activism and volunteerism.

GONG

Gong is a civil society organization founded in 1997, aimed at encouraging citizens to actively participate in the political process. The goal of GONG is the promotion and advancement of human and civil rights, and encouraging and empowering citizens for more active participation in political decision-making.

Green action

Zelena Akcija is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary organization of citizens to protect the environment, was founded in 1990 with headquarters in Zagreb.

Human rights house

Kuća ljudskih prava Zagreb is a network of six civil society organizations, which was established in 2008 by BaBe (Be active. Be emancipated.), Centre for Peace Studies, Documenta – Centre for Dealing with the Past, Civic Committee for Human Rights, the Association for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities and the Association for the Protection and Promotion of Mental Health Svitanje. The organization was established to promote, develop and improve protection of human rights. Human Rights House is part of the International Human Rights House Network based in Oslo.

Miramida Centar – Regional peacebuilding exchange

Miramida Centar since its foundation in August 2000 has been institutionally supported by Quaker Peace & Social Witness, Mennonite Central Committee and National Foundation in Croatia. Organising only one regional RETREAT for peace activists. Thematic Days of Peacebuilding – Miramidani and engaging war veterans in peacebuilding are some of our specific qualities.

OBRIS – Defence and security

Citizens’ organization founded in late 2011., which works on research issues related to the field of defense and security, promoting transparency and informed citizens in these topics and strengthens civilian oversight of the government sectors that deal with these issues. Part of the work of this association represents internet portal “OBRIS – Defence and security”, as well as current and specialized news media on issues of defense and security in Croatia and the region.

ODRAZ – Sustainable Community Development

ODRAZ – Sustainable Community Development since 2000 encourages and strengthens initiatives and cooperation in local communities, aiming at long-term sustainable development. ODRAZ organizes non-formal education for sustainable development; cooperates with relevant stakeholders in preparation, implementation and monitoring of sustainable local and rural development plans; strengthens capacity of civil, public and business sectors for cross-sectoral development partnerships and participates in dialogue with the European institutions on development issues.

OU Podum

OU Podum is an independent, non-profit, self-organized youth association, which aims to include young people in intercultural and international exchange and mobility programs.

Serbian Democratic Forum

The Serbian Democratic Forum is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit and non-partisan organization, dedicated to the ideals of freedom and the rule of law; the ideals of peace and understanding among peoples and nations; building, strengthening and consolidating democracy; humanism; equality and the rule of law; and the protection and promotion of human, civil and political rights

TERRA HUB

TERRA HUB is a non-profit non-government independent legal entity established in 2016 in Croatia to keep together the experts and professionals who have been working with the UN Development Programme Croatia energy, environment and innovations team after the office closure.

This is a Domino Project

This is a Domino Project is a non-governmental, non-partisan, non-profit association based in Zagreb, which aims to question traditional work on the transformation of oppressive norms in transitional society through culture, media, public policy, education and collaboration with national and international organizations.

Volunteer Center Zagreb

Volunteers’ Center Zagreb (VCZ) acts as a resource center encouraging personal and social development through mediation, education, and promotion of volunteering on a local and international level. VCZ’s vision is a society which recognises volunteering as a driving force for the creation of an active, responsible and humane community.

Youth Initiative for Human Rights

The Youth Initiative for Human Rights is a regional network of non-governmental organizations with offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia, which aims to promote human rights, empowerment of transitional justice mechanisms and strengthening the rule of law through the process of search for truth, dealing with the past and establishing a progressive relationship and vision for the future of region and globally.

Živi atelje DK

Živi Atelje DK 1/ Provides a gallery space and collective creative space for artists; 2/ Offers an artist-in-residence program with an emphasis on exchange between Balkans and other regions, especially Africa and Asia including the Middle East; 3/ Promotes art as an educational and therapeutic tool and mode for activism; 4/ Seeks to strengthen the role of women in art and society in part through managing the art collection of Vera Dajht Kralj.
